First Reunion a Success

It started as a dream, an actual dream... I thought, before we hear of another relative’s death, or go to a funeral, it would be really nice to have a REUNION. Instead of trying to come up with a theme, since the date of choice was around Thanksgiving…it was decided to call it A THANKSGIVING REUNION. First we had to see how many addresses or phones or e-mails we had. The choice was to utilize e-mail, since it is the easiest. The easiest for 2 reasons:

1. It is easy, at virtually no cost.
2. It gives the Cousin the opportunity to RSVP without actually having to talk to each other. For some of us it has been 30+ years since we last spoke or saw each other!

And some of us have never met, or met when one of us was a kid. So, to use a west coast phrase, this could be really neat!!

The date selected was November 29, 2003. A Saturday at our home in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The RSVP did not have a Start Time, but Jeanie (your Hostess) said come early, stay late.

The research was provided to those interested in making it a weekend; we provided the closest hotel, The Shannon Inn, plus various B & B’s. All were reminded to bring bathing suits. At our Clubhouse, we have a heated swimming pool, sauna, and gym. If weather permits Tennis Courts, a beautiful Lake, hiking trails, a waterfall and much more.

Unfortunately Mother Nature kept it cold. B-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r. But some at least enjoyed our Hot Tub…

We were going to do a Newsletter via Print, then decided to do it via e-mail, then decided we should throw in some photo’s and voilá – The Mark Cousins’ Club Album.

We hope you really enjoy EVERYTHING. Let’s try really hard to stay in touch!
